People are sooo dumb...

So I was standing in line at the local Time-Warner office waiting to pay my grossly inflated bill... and there was a couple talking to customer service. They were perfectly willing to spend over $130 a MONTH for cable/internet access, in order to get 100 extra channels. (After all, dad's gotta get his porno..)

The subject of the digital conversion came up, which meant that they we're going to have to put a converter box on one of their MANY teeVees.

And they made some comment blaming the conversion on "President Osama." (!)

It's ironic because on one of those cable channels that they think they've GOT to have, there's a comedian that their ilk really likes and who once cracked

"YA CAN"T FIX STUPID!"

If there were ever to be a conservative movement of pundits/politicians who actually tried to tell the truth and engage in honest debate, it would be a earth-shattering. there would be a rip in the fabric of time and space.

Congress mandated the switch in 2005, when as I recall, the GOP controlled both Houses of Congress, the White House AND the FCC.
